Potassium humate, derived from alkaline extraction of brown coal (leonardite), is the potassium salt of humic acid. Primarily utilized as a soil conditioner, it is employed in agriculture as an effective fertilizer additive to optimize the utilization of nitrogen- and phosphorus-based fertilizers. In addition to potassium humate, other salts of humic acid, such as sodium humate, are manufactured for various applications, including animal health supplements and aquaculture.
